Silk products also become fashionable gifts for relatives and friends at festivals. Huangmian Town of Luzhai County, known as the “Hometown of Silkworm”, was rated as an excellent village featuring “one signature product for one village” in Guangxi in 2019, and the national demonstration village featuring “one signature product for one village” in 2022. At present, over 90% of farmers in the town grow mulberries and raise silkworms, and there are about 8,000 silkworm raisers, with an annual output value of 300 million yuan.
